A Celebration of Love and Legacy at RNIT
Formerly known as Alcantara National Trade School (ANTS), the Romblon National Institute of Technology (RNIT) celebrated a trifold event this February: its 54th Founding Anniversary, Induction Program, and Valentine's Day Program, all under the theme "A Symphony of Love and Legacy".
Part I: Commemoration and Reflection
The program began with a warm welcome from Anna Christina C. Martinez, RNIT’s Officer-in-Charge. She commemorated the institution's foundation and acknowledged the collective efforts that led to this significant milestone.
Representing Engr. Lynette M. Gatarin (Acting Provincial Director, TESDA Romblon), Rochelle M. Zulueta (TESD Specialist II) reflected on the day's significance, emphasizing that its essence extends beyond romantic relationships to encompass all forms of love and appreciation.
Mayor Riza G. Pamorada of Alcantara expressed gratitude for RNIT's contributions to the province and inducted the newly elected Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers.

Inspirational Message and Entertainment
Retired Professor Elna L. Baldea shared her inspiring journey, starting as a teacher at ANTS and eventually retiring as an Assistant Professor IV from RNIT. She highlighted finding her husband, Mr. Gerald Baldea (also a teacher), at the school and stressed that actions driven by love yield beautiful outcomes.

Princess Clee G. Ferrer and Clark M. Gonzales graced the gathering with their soulful voices, serenading the attendees.
Prenz Jumer B. Lota (Assistant Professor I and SSC Adviser) concluded this part by thanking everyone who contributed to the event's success.
Health, Unity, and Celebration
A symposium on heart care, facilitated by Ma. Melody G. Galicia (Nurse II), provided valuable insights into heart health. Following this, attendees participated in a lively 15-minute Zumba session.
A “Love Feast” followed, where shared meals symbolized the unity and spirit of love binding the RNIT community.

Valentine's Day Activities by SSC
The SSC Officers, along with trainees from various programs (Automotive Servicing NC I, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, EIM NC II), organized engaging Valentine's Day activities:
- Love Confession Booth: A space for expressing feelings.
- Photo Booth: Capturing event memories.
- Jail Booth: Playful "imprisonment" of friends.
- Wedding Booth: A fun, mock wedding experience.
- Movie Booth: Cozy spot for romantic movies.

Concluding with Faith
After the Valentine's Day celebration, the faculty and staff attended the Ash Wednesday Mass, offering produce from the RNIT Farm and baked goods during the service.
